No tracking, at all
Nautacloud runs no analytics, no advertising, no fingerprinting and no third-party scripts. Nothing on this site reports your behaviour to anyone.
That is not only a privacy stance. Every third-party script is another domain that has to be reachable and another download to pay for — and for an audience on metered, filtered connections, both are real costs.
What we store
| Name | Where | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
nc:locale | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose English or Spanish | Until you clear it |
oidc.* | Session storage | Your signed-in session tokens | Cleared when you close the tab |
nc:redirect | Session storage | The page to return to after signing in | Cleared when you close the tab |
nc:survey* | Local storage | Remembers that you already voted in the project survey, so you are not asked twice | Until you clear it |
Session tokens are deliberately kept in session storage rather than a cookie: they are scoped to the tab, are never sent automatically with requests, and disappear when you close it.
Cookies set by others
Signing in goes through Amazon Cognito's hosted login, which sets its own cookies on its own domain to keep you signed in there. Those cookies are governed by AWS, not by us, and are not readable by this site.
Sites published by other users are served from *.nautacloud.net subdomains and may set their own storage. They are not operated by us and we do not control what they store. Treat any site you did not publish as a third party.
Controlling it
Every browser lets you inspect and clear site data, and block storage per site. Clearing ours signs you out and forgets your language preference — nothing else is lost, because nothing else is kept.
